Start by visiting the websites of your competitors and see if they have any videos put up on the website. Try and search their business on YouTube in order to see if they have an official channel.
If they do not have any videos than you can scratch them out, but if you have found that they have some sort of video marketing strategy, then you found yourself your video marketing competitors. Don’t just stop on one competitor, see how many you can find in total for your local keyword terms. If your competitors have their videos ranking above your than this can be a bit tricky.
You will need to pay close attention to their video statistics and the message they are sending via those videos. Judge the quality of the video and see the likes and comments on the video page.
However, do not just count on YouTube as there are a lot of other video sharing sites that can be used in a similar purpose and this might just be where your competition is making a killing! Check out if your competitors are using social media to post their videos or share links to them. Constantly keep them on your radar and watch out for their next move!
